Çevrim içi oyunlardaki yabancı kökenli sözcüklerin ortaokul öğrencilerinin dil kullanımlarına etkisi: Pubg örneği

Abstract

Dil, insanların anlaşmasını sağlar. Ana dili ise, bir toplumda yaşayan bireylerin ailesinden ve yakın çevresinden edindiği ilk dildir. Ana dili, bir toplumu toplum yapan en önemli kültürel değerdir. Ana dilleri farklı olan toplumlar, çeşitli dönemlerde birbirleriyle savaş, göç, ticaret vb. sebeplerle etkileşim içerisinde bulunurlar. Bu etkileşimler sonucu diller arasında da ilişkiler gerçekleşir. Bir dil başka bir dile sözcük ya da bazı dil yapıları verebilir, başka bir dilden sözcük veya çeşitli dil yapıları alabilir. Fakat, diller arasındaki etkileşimin boyutu arttıkça ana dili için çeşitli sorunlar görülür; ana dili yozlaşır ya da kirlenir. Böyle bir durumda ana dilinin geleceği tehlikeye girer. Türkçe tarih boyunca birçok dille ilişki içerisinde olmuştur. Bazı dönemlerde Arapça, Farsça ve Fransızcanın yoğun etkisine maruz kalmış; bu dillerden çok sayıda sözcük ya da dil yapıları alarak kirlenmiştir. Son 60 yıl içerisinde de İngilizcenin etkisi altına girmeye başlayan Türkçe gittikçe kirlenmektedir. Son zamanlarda çevrim içi oyunlarda görülen yabancı sözcük kullanımı Türkçenin kirlenmesine sebep olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada ortaokul öğrencilerinin PUBG adlı oyunda tespit edilen yabancı sözcüklerin anlamını bilme ve kullanma sıklıkları belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca ana dillerine karşı tutumları incelenmiştir. Öğrencilerin ana dillerine sevgi duydukları fakat ana dili bilincinden uzak oldukları görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin PUBG oyununda belirlenen yabancı sözcüklerin anlamlarını bildikleri ve bu sözcükleri kullandıkları anlaşılmıştır. Öğrencilere ana dili bilincinin kazandırılması, çevrim içi oyunlarla Türkçenin kirlenmesinin önüne geçilmesi için çalışmaların yapılması gerektiği sonucuna varılmıştır.

Language enables people to communicate. The mother tongue, on the other hand, is the first language acquired by individuals living in a society from their families and close circles. The mother tongue is the most important cultural value that makes a society a society. Societies with different mother tongues fought each other in various periods, such as war, migration, trade, etc. interact for reasons. As a result of these interactions, relations between languages also occur. A language can give words or some language structures to another language, can take words or various language structures from another language. However, as the extent of interaction between languages increases, various problems arise for the mother tongue; mother tongue degenerates or becomes dirty. İn such a case, the future of the mother tongue is in danger. Turkish has been in contact with many languages throughout history. İn some periods, it was exposed to the intense influence of Arabic, Persian and French; İt has been polluted by taking many words or language structures from these languages. Turkish, which has begun to come under the influence of English in the last 60 years, is becoming increasingly polluted. The use of foreign words in online games recently causes the Turkish language to be contaminated. İn this study, the frequency of knowing and using the meaning of foreign words found in the game called PUBG of secondary school students was determined. İn addition, their attitudes towards their mother tongue were examined. İt has been observed that the students love their mother tongue, but they are far from their mother tongue consciousness. İt was understood that the students knew the meanings of foreign words determined in the PUBG game and used these words. İt has been concluded that studies should be carried out in order to raise the awareness of the mother tongue to the students and to prevent the contamination of the Turkish language with online games.
