Güzel sanatlar liseleri batı müziği teori ve uygulamaları dersinde karşılaşılan sorunlara ilişkin öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulamaları Dersi Güzel Sanatlar Liselerinde önemli bir yere sahip olan temel derslerden biridir. Bu araştırma, Güzel Sanatlar Liselerinde Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulamaları dersini veren öğretmenlerin ve bu dersi alan 11. ve 12. sınıf öğrencilerinin Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulamaları dersinde karşılaştıkları sorunları belirlemek ve bu derse yönelik fikirlerini alabilmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, Güzel Sanatlar Liselerinde Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulamaları dersini vermekte olan 10 öğretmen ve bu liselerin 11. ve 12. sınıfına giden 350 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada 10 öğretmenle görüşme yapılmış, bu görüşmelerde “Yarı Yapılandırılmış Görüşme” formu kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulamaları dersine yönelik görüşlerini almak için 15 soruluk bir soru formu hazırlanmış, formlar sınıf Whatsapp gruplarından paylaşılıp, öğrencilere ulaştırılmış ve Google Form üzerinden öğrencilerin cevaplandırmaları sağlanmıştır. Öğretmenlerle yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler yazıya aktarılmış ve katılımcıların cevapları betimsel analiz yöntemiyle işlenmiştir. Öğrencilerden elde edilen verilerin analizi için yüzde hesaplamaları yapılmış, ayrıca açık uçlu sorularda yine betimsel analizden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulamaları dersinin müzik eğitiminde temel derslerden biri olduğu, bu dersin ders saati sayısının arttırılması gerektiği, derslerdeki öğrenci sayısının azaltılması gerektiği, dersin uygulama kısmına daha çok zaman ayrılması gerektiği, öğrencilerin bireysel çalışma konusunda bilgilendirilmesi gerektiği, öğrencilerin dijital platformlar hakkında bilgi sahibi olması gerektiği sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır. Yapılan araştırmanın, Batı Müziği Teori ve Uygulamaları dersinin müziksel davranışlara yönelik tutumları ortaya çıkardığı ve bu doğrultuda yeni yaklaşımlara neden olacağı düşünceleri bakımından katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.

Western Music Theory and Practice Course is one of the basic courses that has an important place in Fine Arts High Schools. This research was carried out in order to determine the problems faced by the teachers who teach Western Music Theory and Practice in Fine Arts High Schools and the 11th and 12th grade students who take this course in the Western Music Theory and Practice course and to get their opinions on this lesson. The study group of the research consists of 10 teachers who teach Western Music Theory and Practice in Fine Arts High Schools and 350 students who attend the 11th and 12th grades of these high schools. In the study, interviews were conducted with 10 teachers, and the "Semi-Structured Interview" form was used in these interviews. A questionnaire consisting of 15 questions was prepared in order to get the students' views on the Western Music Theory and Practice course, the forms were shared with the class Whatsapp groups and delivered to the students, and the students were provided with answers via Google Form. The data obtained from the interviews with the teachers were transcribed and the answers of the participants were processed with the descriptive analysis method. Percentage calculations were made for the analysis of the data obtained from the students, and descriptive analysis was also used in open-ended questions. In the research, the Western Music Theory and Practice course is one of the basic courses in music education, the number of course hours should be increased, the number of students in the courses should be reduced, more time should be allocated to the practice part of the course, students should be informed about individual study, students should be informed about digital platforms. required results have been achieved. It is thought that the research will contribute to the thoughts that the Western Music Theory and Practice course reveals the attitudes towards musical behaviors and will lead to new approaches in this direction.
