Hayat Bilgisi Dersinin Öğrencileri Fen Öğrenmeye Hazırlamadaki Etkisinin Öğretmen Düşüncelerine Göre Değerlendirilmesi (Afyonkarahisar İli Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışma Hayat Bilgisi dersinin öğrencileri fen öğrenmeye hazırlamadaki etkisini öğretmen düşüncelerine göre tespit etmeyi ve değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Afyonkarahisar ili, ilçeleri ve çevre köylerinde rastgele seçilen 144 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesi sürecinde yüzde, aritmetik ortalama, t- testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre öğretmenlerin Hayat Bilgisi dersinin öğrencileri fen öğrenmeye hazırlamadaki etkisine yönelik düşünceleri cinsiyet, hizmet yılı, açısından anlamlı farklılık göstermemekte (p>.05), öğretim yaptıkları sınıf açısından farklılık göstermektedir. (p<.05). Geliştirilen ölçek kendi içinde dört faktöre ayrılmıştır. Bu dört faktörden elde edilen bulgular incelendiğinde; ankete katılan öğretmenlerinin büyük bir çoğunluğu konu-kavram-kazanımlara hazırlık faktöründe “kararsızım” diğer faktörlerde ise “katılıyorum” seçeneğini seçmişlerdir.

This study aims to collect and analyze teachers’ opinions about evaluation of the effect of social studies on preparation of students for science courses. The study group comprises 144 teachers randomly selected in the city of Afyonkarahisar and the towns and villages in the province by the same name. In analyzing the data collected, percentages, arithmetic mean, t-test and ANOVA variance analysis methods have been used. According to the findings of the research, the views of the teachers about evaluation of the effect of social studies on preparation of students for science courses no significant differences were found with respect to gender, number of years served but vary significantly according to the grade being taught. The developed scale was divided into four factors in itself. On examining the findings consisting of these four factors a great deal of teachers who participated in the inquiry selected the answer ‘indecisive’ on the readiness factor for theme-concept- acquisitions. And they selected the answer ‘agree’ for the other factors.
