Kafes ve Alternatif Sistemlerde Yumurtacı Tavukların Refahı

Abstract

Son yıllarda konvansiyonel kafeslerde barındırılan tavukların fizyolojik ve davranımsal gereksinimlerini karşılayamadığı bilimsel olarak ortaya konmuştur. Tavukların refahını sağlamak çiftlik sahiplerinin sorumluluğundadır ve bu uygun barındırma, yönetim, besleme ve hastalıklardan koruma ve tedaviyi de içeren hayvanın iyi halde olmasını sağlanmasıdır. Yumurta tavukları için alternatif sistemler üreticilerin ekonomik verimlilik gibi talepleri ile tavukların ihtiyaçları ve refahını sağlayacak şekilde tasarlanmaktadır. Alternatif sistemlerde tavuklar birçok doğal davranış tipini sergileyebilmekte ve yeterli eksersiz yapabilmektedir ancak bu ortamlarda başlıca zorluklar ayak problemleri, gagalama, sosyal stres ve kitli ve kırık yumurtalardır. Bu derlemede barındırma sırasında tavuk refahını düşüren bu sorunların çözümüne yönelik araştırmaların sonuçları ve alternatif sistemlerin tavuk refahına etkileri özetlenmiştir.Hens are able to perform of several type of their natural behaviours and sufficient excersices in alternative systems but the mainly complicatons are foot problems, feather pecking, social stres and dirty ant cruked eggs in this environments. In last years, it has been documented scientificly that the hens housed convantional cages could not meet their social and behavioural needs. Ensuring welfare of hens is under responsibility of farmer and it is included consideration for all aspects of animal well-being, including proper housing, management, nutrition and disease prevention and care. Alternative housing systems for laying hens are designed to provide needs and well being of the hens, with the demands like as economic efficiency of producers. In this review, it has been summarised that the results of researches focusing on the solutions of welfare problems during housing and the effects of the alternative housing systems for laying hens.
