Ülgener’de Din Ve Kapitalizm

Abstract

Kapitalizmin toplumda benimsenerek, yerlesmesi ve uygulanması, ülkede yasayan her insanın hazır bulunusuyla doğrudan ilintilidir. Bazı toplumlarda bu hazır bulunus tam anlamıyla yasanırken bazılarında ise sorunlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Burada asıl sorun, Batı Avrupa ülkelerinin seneler önce bu geçis dönemini yasamalarına rağmen, az gelismis olarak tanımlanan ülkelerde neden bu geçis asaması hala devam etmektedir? Arastırmada bu sorunun cevabı aranacaktır. Özellikle zihniyeti etkileyen önemli bir etken olan “din” konusunun üzerinde durulması gerekmektedir. Çünkü dinler emir ve yasaklardan olusmustur, toplumlar da bu emir ve yasaklar doğrultusunda yasamlarını sekillendirmislerdir. Kapitalizm ise toplumun geleneklerinden, yasayısından etkilendiği dikkate alındığında kapitalizm ve din arasındaki iliskide fark edilecektir. Bu süreç bu sekilde devam ederken çarklar ters dönmeye baslayarak, kapitalizm dinin yerini alacak ve toplumu etkisi altına alacaktır. Türkiye’de bu bakıs açısını ilk defa ortaya atan ve Türk toplumunu bu çerçevede inceleyen Sabri F. Ülgener, toplumumuzda farklı bir bakıs açısının ortaya çıkmasını sağlamıstır. Ülgener, Türkiye’deki iktisadi durumla ilgili olarak yaptığı yorumlarla dikkat çekmektedir. Gerek Osmanlı’nın gerekse Türkiye’nin ekonomik alanda yasadığı sorunlarına yaklasımında farklı yöntemler izlenmesinden dolayı, üzerinde durulması gereken bir düsünürdür. Bu arastırma Ülgener’in çalısmalarında yer verdiği din, zihniyet ve kapitalizm iliskisi doğrultusunda ilerlemektedir. Batı Avrupa’da kapitalizmin ortaya çıkması asamasında yasananlar ve sonrasında gelismekte olan ülkelerin zihniyetinin ne olduğu ve kapitalizmle bağdasıp bağdasmadığı incelenmektedir. Az gelismis toplumda geleneksel olarak süre gelen zihniyetler, iktisat zihniyetinin gelisimini engellemektedir. Avrupa’nın iktisadi anlamdaki gelisimine sahip olabilmek için öncelikle toplumun bu zihniyet yapısından kurtulması gerekmektedir.

The internalization of capitalism by the society, and its establishment and practice are directly related to the preparedness of each person living in that country. While this preparedness is exactly experienced in some societies, some problems may emerge in others. The main problem here is, although Western European countries have experienced this transition period years ago, why does this transition period continue in countries defined as underdeveloped? The answer for this question is going to be sought in the research. The topic of “religion”, which is an important factor influencing mentality, is especially required to be put emphasis on. Because religions consist of orders and prohibitions, and societies have shaped their lives according to these orders and prohibitions. Considering Capitalism’s being influenced by the lifestyle and the traditions of a society, the relationship between Capitalism and religion is going to be distinguished. While the case is going on like this, the winds will change, and replacing religion, Capitalism will take hold of the society. Sabri F. Ülgener, who came up with this viewpoint for the first time in Turkey and has been examining Turkish society in this context, and has provided a different viewpoint to emerge in our society. Ülgener stands out for his comments on economic conjuncture in Turkey. He is a thinker who should be given importance due to his following different methods in his approaches to the problems in the economic field both the Ottomans and Turkey have experienced. This study proceeds in accordance with the relationship between religion, mentality and Capitalism which Ülgener has given place in his studies. Experiences in Western Europe throughout the emerge of Capitalism, and what the mentality of developing countries has been right after this, and the fact if this mentality has complied with Capitalism or not are analysed. The traditional ongoing mentalities in underdeveloped societies blocked the development of economic mentality. In order to have the economic development of Europe the society needs to get rid of this mentality at first .
