Gediz (Merkez) İlköğretim 8.Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Aktif Kelime Servetlerinin Tespiti (Yazılı Anlatım) (Gediz İlçe Örneği)

Abstract

Çalışmamız, Gediz ilçe merkezinde bulunan ilköğretim okullarının 8.sınıf öğrencilerinin yazılı anlatımlarındaki aktif kelime servetinin belirlenmesine yönelik bir çalışmadır. Çalışmada Gediz merkezde bulunan 8. sınıflardan random (rastgele) yöntemiyle seçilen her sınıf için 90 öğrenciye üç farklı (Anı, serbest konu ve otobiyografi) anlatım türünde toplam 270 adet kompozisyon yazdırılmıştır. Yazılı verilerde geçen kelimeler, öğrencilerin sosyo-ekonomik seviyelerine, cinsiyete ve üç farklı anlatım türüne göre incelenmiştir. Çalışmamızda, 270 adet yazılı kompozisyonda toplam 36.518 kelime tespit edilmiştir. Bu kelimelerden 2813’ünün çeşit kelime, 33.705 kelimenin ise bu kelimelerin tekrarı olduğu belirlenmiştir. Sosyo-ekonomik seviyeleri yüksek olan öğrenciler, toplam kelime sayısı açısından daha başarılı olurken, toplam kelime çeşidi açısından orta seviyeli öğrenciler daha başarılı olmuştur. Cinsiyet açısından kız öğrencilerin hem toplam kelimede, hem de çeşit kelime sayısı açısından daha başarılı oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Üç farklı türde (anı, serbest konu ve otobiyografi) yazdırılan kompozisyonlarda kullanılan toplam kelime ve çeşit sayısının en fazla anı türünde; en az ise otobiyografi türünde olduğu görülmüştür.

The purpose of this study is to determine the treassure of written active vocabularies of 8th grade primary school students in the center of the province of Gediz. Randomly selected 8 th grade 270 primary school student involved in this study and they were encouraged to write compositions. The words written by students were tried to classified at the base of grade level and socio-economic groups were individuallye valuated. In this study, 36518 words were detected from 270 students' compositions texts. Only 2813 of these words were unique words and the other 33705 of these words were somehow synonyms of the words. The students,who have high socio-economic levels, were more successful than others. In these compositions, the most of unique words were used in memory compositions, the least of them were used in autobiography.
