Afyon Halkevi ve Faaliyetleri

Abstract

Halkevleri Cumhuriyet dönemi Türkiye’sinin önemli kültürel kurumlarındandır. Atatürk ilke ve inkılaplarını yurt çapında yaymak ve Türk halkının bilgi ve kültürel seviyesini artırmak amacıyla 19 Şubat 1932 tarihinde kurulmuşlardır. Afyon Halkevi de ülke çapında ilk açılan Halkevlerinden birisidir. Halkevi talimatnamesine uygun olarak bütün şubeleriyle faaliyete başladıktan sonra Afyon merkez, ilçe ve köylerde halkın her yönden gelişmesi için çalışmıştır. Tiyatro gösterileri, köy gezileri, sağlık taramaları, hasta ve fakir halk ve öğrencilere yardım, ziraatla ilgili bilgilendirme toplantıları, bölgedeki tarihi eserlerin toplanıp müzeye konulması, gençleri zararlı alışkanlıklardan koruyup spora yönlendirmek gibi çok önemli faaliyetler gerçekleştirmiştir.Dönemin siyasi ortamı ile ilgili olarak Afyon Halkevi 8 Ağustos 1951 tarihinde diğer bütün Halkevleri gibi kapatılmıştır. Daha sonra 20 Ekim 1963 tarihinde tekrar açılıp faaliyete başlamışsa da ilk dönemdeki çalışma heyecanı ve aktifliği kalmamış, kısa süre sonra tamamen ortadan kalkmıştır. Afyon Halkevinin kuruluşundan kapanışına kadar geçen süre içerisindeki faaliyetleri ve bu faaliyetlerinin halk üzerindeki etkileri Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında yurt genelindeki sosyo-kültürel ortama ışık tutabilir.

People House are the important cultural associations of the Turkey in the period of Republic. They were founded in the 19 th February of 1932, for spreading the Ataturk’s principle and revolution around the country; and for increasing the knowledge and cultural level of Turk people. The People House of Afyon is the one of first established People House in the country. After to start work according to People House’s regulations wilt all sections: they worked to development of people in Afyon’s centre, district and villages. People House made real a lot of important activities such as theatre shows, village travels, health searches, help of the people or students who are ill or poor, assemblies which are about to give knowledge on agriculture; to collect the historical sing and to put them to museum; to protect the young’s from the harmful substances and make them interested in sports.Because of the political positions; Afyon People House was closed in the 8 th August 1951 as the others. After that in 20 th October of 1963 it was opened again and started to work but there were not first excitement and activities, after a little time it was closed completely. The activities which are between the time of the establishment of Afyon’s People House and to be closed it, and the effects of these activities on people can show the social-cultural environment in the first years of Republic around the country.
