Weimar Dönemi ve Öncesinde Meydana Gelen Siyasi Çekişmeler ve Ekonomik Krizlerin Alman Sosyal Demokrat Partisi Bağlamında Bir Değerlendirmesi
Abstract
Social democracy is a political regime which assumes defending of labour,
and at the same time recognizes acquisitions brought by liberalism. German
experience holds a very significant place in the development process of social
democracy. The experience of Social Democracy started with German Social
Democrat Party (SPD) in Germany. The fact that the influence of German Social Democrat Party is still strong in current German and Europe politics was effective
in selection of this subject. The objective of this study is portraying of the pre-nazi
politics of the German Social Democrat Party. Towards this objective, foundation
years of the German Social Democrat Party, and its effects on the German politics
until the end of World War 1 were analyzed in detail. Then the SPD politics in
Weimar Republic era, which constitutes the basis for this study, and effects of these
policies in emerging of national socialism, are highlighted.
