İşletme Bölümü Öğrencilerinin İletişim Becerilerinin Cinsiyet Rolleri Bağlamında İncelenmesi
Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate communication skills of university
students within the context of sex roles. The sample of the research consists 187
students (125 female, 62 male) who voluntarily accept filling the questionary.
In this study Communication Skills Evaluation Scale (CSES) which is
prepared by Korkut (1996), Bem’s Sex Roles Inventory (BSRI) which is established
by Bem (1974) and adapted to Turkish by Kavuncu (1987) and demographic
features form which is prepared by researchers are used to collect data.
There was no significant difference in students’ communication skills in
terms of sex. However, there is a significant difference according to sex roles while
communication skills of androgynous group being the highest and those of
undifferetiated being the lowest. Moreover, communication skills of androgynous
group is statistically higher than undifferentiated and masculine groups and
feminine groups are statistically higher than undifferentiated. The results were
discussed in terms of their relation to age, class and place of birth but there was no
significant difference according to communication skills.
