Sanal Ortamda Eğitim ve Öğretimin Geleceği ve Olası Sorunlar

Abstract

Teknolojinin eğitim ve öğretim ortamına sunduğu en önemli iki değer bilgisayar ve internettir. Bu iki yapının okullarda birlikte kullanılmasıyla öğrenme veriminin artabileceği düşünülmektedir. Hatta okulların dışında herhangi bir ortamda kullanılmasıyla bireysel öğrenme mümkün hale gelebilecektir. Ancak gerçekte durum böyle midir? Bilgisayar ve internetin eğitim ve öğretime katkıları hangi düzeydedir? Bilim dünyası günümüzde uzaktan eğitimin geleneksel eğitime göre durumunu saptamaya çalışmaktadır. Yapılan araştırmalar henüz uzaktan eğitimin geleneksel eğitime göre daha nitelikli olduğu denencesini belirgin olarak doğrulayamamıştır. Bilgi ve iletişim teknolojilerinin kullanım amaçları bir bakıma onların eğitim ve öğretimdeki geleceğini de belirleyecektir. Bu araştırmada internetin eğitim ve öğretime katkılarını ve internet temelli öğretimin niteliği belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu araştırma online ve geleneksel eğitim ve öğretim konusunda henüz devam etmekte olan tartışmalara katkıda bulunma, gelecekteki eğitim ve öğretim yönelimlerini belirleme açılarından önemlidir.

The most important two values which technology presents to the education and training environments are computer and internet. By using these two structures together in school, it is thought that the efficiency of learning will increase. Also, by using it in any environment out of schools, individual learning will be possible. But is it really so? To what level do computers and internet contribute to education and training? The science world has been trying to determine the situation of the remote education in comparison with the traditional education. The researches done so far haven’t confirmed whether the remote education is more qualified than the traditional education yet. The aims of using knowledge and communication will, in a way, determine their future in education and training. In this study, we have tried to define the contribution of internet to education and training and the quality of teaching based on internet. This study is important because it contributes to the discussions continuing on traditional and online teaching and it determines the future methods of education and training.
