Oyuncakların çocukların kültürlenme ve sosyalleşmelerine etkileri: Barbie bebekler örneği

Abstract

Oyun ve oyuncaklar insanlık tarihi kadar eskidir. Oyun, ferdin yaşamının ilk yıllarından itibaren onun bedensel, zihinsel ve sosyal gelişimini etkiler. Oyunun, tarihsel süreçte çeşitli oyuncaklar ile değiştiğini ve şekillendiğini görüyoruz. Bu oyuncaklardan biri de Barbie bebeklerdir. Barbie bebekler üretildiği ilk zamanlardan itibaren dünya genelinde büyük rağbet görmüş ve hemen hemen her kültüre uygun şekilde tasarlanmışlardır. Bu makalenin amacı, oyunun sosyo-kültürel tarihini araştırmak ve bir oyuncak olarak Barbie bebeklerinin bu tarih içindeki yerini saptayıp onların oyun kültürüne etkilerini tartışmaktır. Barbie bebeklerin çocukların sosyalleşmesi, kişilik gelişimi ve kültürlenmeleri üzerindeki etkilerini açıklamak da bu makalenin diğer bir hedefidir.

Games and toys are as old as human history. Games provide the physical, mental and social development of the individual from the first years of his life. We see that games have changed and shaped with various toys in the historical process. One of these toys is Barbie dolls. Barbie dolls have been in great demand around the world since they were first produced and are designed to suit almost every culture. The aim of this article is to investigate the socio-cultural history of the game and to determine the place of Barbie dolls as a toy in this history and to discuss their impact on play culture. Another purpose of this article is to explain the effects of Barbie dolls on children's socialization, personality development and acculturation.
