Sağlık turizmi farkındalığı: Malatya ilinde sağlık çalışanları üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın temel amacı sağlık çalışanlarının sağlık turizmi konusunda farkındalık düzeylerini ve sağlık turizmi farkındalığının demografik değişkenlere göre ne derece farklılaştığını belirlemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle Mayıs 2022'de Malatya ilinde faaliyet gösteren bir kamu hastanesinde görev yapan 350 sağlık çalışanından anket uygulaması ile veri elde edilmiştir. Yapılan istatistiki analizler sonucunda sağlık çalışanlarının genel anlamda sağlık turizmi farkındalığının orta düzeyde olduğu (3,40/5,00) tespit edilmiştir. Ek olarak, sağlık çalışanlarının sağlık turizmi farkındalığının incelenen cinsiyet, yaş, öğrenim durumu, meslekteki geçirilen yıl, çalışılan birim ve gelir düzeyi değişkenlerine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı şekilde farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. Erkek çalışanların ve lise mezunlarının farkındalığının yüksek olduğu, 39-45 yaş aralığındaki çalışanların sağlık turizminin sorunları hakkında daha bilinçli olduğu, hastane yönetiminde çalışan personelin farkındalığının yüksek olduğu ve en fazla beş yıldır görev yapmakta olan çalışanların diğerlerine göre sağlık turizmi konusunda daha bilinçli oldukları sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Çalışma sonuçlarına göre sağlık kurumu yöneticilerine ve gelecek çalışmalara önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The main purpose of this research is to determine the awareness levels of health professionals about health tourism and to what extent the awareness of health tourism differs according to their demographic variables. In line with this purpose, data were obtained with a questionnaire from 350 healthcare professionals working in a public hospital operating in Malatya in May 2022 by convenience sampling method. As a result of the statistical analyzes, it has been determined that the health tourism awareness of healthcare professionals is at a moderate level (3.40/5.00). In addition, it was determined that the health tourism awareness of healthcare professionals differed statistically significant according to the variables of gender, age, education level, years spent in the profession, unit of work and income level. It has been concluded that the awareness of male healthcare professionals and high school graduates is high, the professionals between the ages of 39-45 are more aware of the problems of health tourism, the awareness of the healthcare professionals working in the hospital management is high, and the professionals who have been working for a maximum of five years are more conscious about health tourism than the others. According to the results of the study, suggestions were made to the health institution managers and future studies.
