Jön Türkler ve II. Meşrutiyet Dönemine genel bir bakış

Abstract

Fransız Devrimi’nin mirası özgürlük, eşitlik, anayasacılık gibi fikirler, Batı-dışı toplumları da etkilemiş ve ulusçuluk hareketlerini hızlandırmıştır. Osmanlı imparatorluğunda ise bu tartışmalara dağılma sürecinde karşılaşılır. Bu süreçte Osmanlı’yı dağılmaktan kurtaracak çözüm bulma çabaları da ortaya çıkar. “Bu devlet nasıl kurtulur?” sorusunun cevabını arayan aktörlerden önemli bir kısmı II. Abdülhamit muhalefetinin omurgasını oluşturan Jön Türk hareketidir. Parlamenter sistem, eşitlik, hürriyet, özgürlük talep eden Jön Türkler, bu talepler çerçevesinde Sultan Abdülhamit’e yönelik şiddetli bir muhalefet geliştirirler. Jön Türk hareketi, yalnızca Osmanlı’nın son dönemi için değil, aynı zamanda Jön Türkler-İttihat ve Terakki ve Cumhuriyet Halk Fırkası arasında bulunan organik bağ itibariyle de dikkate değerdir. Bu çalışmada Osmanlı’nın son dönemlerinde ortaya çıkan ve Cumhuriyet Türkiye’sine giden yolun köşe taşlarını döşeyen bir hareketin, Jön Türk hareketinin ortaya çıkışı, amaçları ve hareketin en önemli icraatlarından biri olarak II. Meşrutiyet’in ilanıyla oluşan siyasal ve toplumsal gelişmelerin, sonuçlarıyla birlikte incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.

Inherited from French Revolution such ideas as freedom, equality, constitutionalism have influenced the non-western societies and increased nationalist movements. Then, in Ottoman Empire such kind of discussion was held in disintegration process. In this process, there had efforts to find solution for that save the Ottoman from disintegration. A good part of actors who tried to answer the question of “How to save this state?” was The Young Turks movement that constitutes the backbone of II. Abdulhamit’s opposition. The Young Turks who claimed parliamentary system, equality, liberty and freedom, within this demanding framework, developed a harsh opposition towards Sultan Abdulhamit. The Young Turks movement is a notable movement not only for the last period of Ottoman, but also for organic bond among The Young Turks- Committee of Union and Progress and Republican People’s Party. In this study, the emergence, the goals and the political and social developments arising from the announcement and consequences of The Second Constitutional Monarchy as one of the most important actions of The Young Turks which emerged in the last period of Ottoman Empire and laid the cornerstones the way to Republican Turkey would be aimed to examined.
