Türkçede kesinlik: “karşılaşma” film senaryosu örneği

Abstract

İnsanlar, geçmişten günümüze kadar sorular sorma, sorgulama, doğruyu bulma ve gözlem yapma gibi yöntemlerle belirsizlikleri gidermeye yönelik kesinlik arayışı içerisinde olmuştur. Bu arayış, bilgi edinme sürecinin temelini oluşturmaktadır. Bu nedenle kesinlik, bilgi ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Dilbilimde bilgi kipliği içerisinde değerlendirilen kesinlik, konuşurun bilgisinden emin olduğunu, şüphe duymadığını ve güven eksikliği hissetmediğini ifade eder. Bu çalışmada öncelikle kesinlik kavramının kökeni ve tanımı hakkında bilgi verilmiş ve kesinlik ile ilişkilendirilen bazı kavramlar üzerinde durulmuştur. Ardından 20. yüzyıl felsefesine derin etkileri olan ve dilin doğasını anlamaya yönelik kapsamlı çalışmalar yapan Moore ve Wittgenstein’ın kesinliğe dair felsefi görüşlerine yer verilmiştir. Çalışmanın temel noktası olan dilbilimin kesinliğe olan yaklaşımı daha geniş bir şekilde ele alınarak Türkçedeki kesinlik işaretleyicileri üzerinde durulmuştur. Uygulama bölümünde ise “Karşılaşma” film senaryosu üzerinde bu işaretleyiciler tespit edilmiş, iletişimde nasıl ve ne şekilde yer aldığı gösterilmeye çalışılmıştır.

From the past to the present, people have been in search of certainty to eliminate uncertainties through methods such as asking questions, questioning, finding the truth and making observations. This quest forms the basis of the process of acquiring knowledge. Therefore, certainty is associated with knowledge. In linguistics, certainty, which is evaluated within the modality of knowledge, expresses that the speaker is sure of his/her knowledge, does not doubt and does not feel a lack of confidence. In this study, firstly, the origin and definition of the concept of certainty is given and some concepts associated with certainty are emphasized. Then, the philosophical views on certainty of Moore and Wittgenstein, who had a profound impact on 20th century philosophy and made extensive studies to understand the nature of language, are given. The approach of linguistics to certainty, which is the main point of the study, was discussed more broadly and the certainty markers in Turkish were identified. In the application section, these markers were identified on the movie script “Karşılaşma” and it was tried to show how and in what way they are involved in communication.
