Saponinler ve Bazı Biyolojik Etkileri

Abstract

Birçok bitkinin içerdiği fitokimyasal maddelerin biyokimyasal ve fizyolojik aktiviteler, reaksiyonlar ve çevrimlerde önemli rol oynadığı bilinmektedir. Bu yüzden günümüzde, bitkilerin yapısında bulunan kimyasal maddeler daha spesifik olarak araştırılmakta ve bu maddelerin koruyucu, tedavi edici ve antioksidan özellikleri incelemektedir. Saponinler çeşitli bitkilerde doğal olarak bulunan, steroid veya triterpenoid yapıda lipofilik bir çekirdek ile bir veya daha fazla sayıda karbonhidrat yan zincirine sahip glikozidler olarak son yıllarda, insan ve hayvan sağlığı ile ilgili araştırmalarda giderek önem kazanmaktadır. Bu derlemede, saponinlerin kimyasal yapıları ve saponin içeren bitkilerin bazı biyolojik etkileri incelenmiştir.

Several plants play an important role in biochemical and physiological activities and reactions with the phytochemical contents of them. Therefore novadays, contents of chemical matters of plants and their protective effects on disease are investigated. Saponins which are found in many plants are glycosides containing either a steroid or triterpenoid nucleus an done or more side chain of carbohydrates. Recent years, the saponin containing plants and their effects on human and animal health are one of the most studied subject. In this review, the chemical structere and properties of saponins ,their biological effects have been discussed.
