Ahmed Eflâki’ye Göre Denizli’de İlk Mevleviler

Abstract

14. yüzyılın başında Denizli, Mevleviliğin Batı Anadolu’daki ilk uğrak yerlerinden birisidir. Mevlana’nın torunu Ulu Arif Çelebi’nin seyahatleri ile daha da güçlenen Mevleviliğin Denizli’deki bu ilk yıllarını ortaya koyan en önemli kaynak ise Ahmed Eflâki’nin Menâkibu’l-Ârifin adlı eseridir. Ahmed Eflâki, Mevlevi zaviyesinin kuruluşu, ilk Mevlevilerin kimlikleri ile diğer tarikat mensuplarıyla ilişkileri ve Mevleviliğin yayılma süreci hakkında çok önemli bilgiler sunmuştur. Eflâki’nin verdiği bilgiler, Denizli’de ilk Mevleviler arasında tarikatın adap ve erkânı hususunda tam bir fikir birliğinin bulunmadığını, siyasi gücü arkalarına almalarına rağmen ilk Mevlevilerin şehirde büyük güçlükler yaşadığını göstermektedir.

Denizli was one of the initial destinations of Mawlawiyya in the Western Anatolia in the beginning of the 14 th century. The order strengthened with the travels of the grandson of Jalaladdin Rumi, Ulu Arif Chelebi. The substantial source concerning with the flourishing time of Mawliwayya in Denizli is Ahmed Eflaki’s Menakibu’l-Arifin. Eflaki gives significant information on the foundation of Mawlawi zawiya (dervish lodge), the identities of first Mawlawis, their relationship with the members of other orders, and the process of diffusion of Mawlawiyya. According to the information that Eflaki gives, there was not a consistent understanding on the manners and proprieties of the order among the first members. Even though they obtained the political support at the time, it seems that they faced with real difficulties in the city.
