Nar (Punica granatum L.) Tohumlarının Çimlenmesine Katlama Süresi ve Ekim Zamanının Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, nar (Punica granatum L.) tohumlarının çimlenme oranı üzerine ekim zamanı ve soğuk-ıslak kat¬lama işlemlerinin etkisi belirlenmiştir. Bu amaçla, tür tohumları bir aylık aralıklarla sekiz farklı tarihte (1 şubat-15 mayıs 2008 tarihleri arasında) doğrudan (önişlem uygulamadan) ve ayrıca soğuk hava deposunda (+4°C) 15 ile 90 gün arasında değişen altı farklı süreli (15 gün aralıklarla) soğuk-ıslak katlama işlemine alınarak 15 mayıs 2008 tarihinde ekilmişlerdir. Bu bağlamda, ekim zamanı ve soğuk-ıslak katlama işlemleri çimlenme oranı üzerinde önemli (p<0.001) bir etkiye sahip bulunmuştur. Sonuç olarak, bu tür için 45-90 gün süreli soğuk-ıslak katlama ve şubat ayında ya da mart ayı başında ön işlem uygulamadan tohum ekimi tavsiye edilebilir.

In this study, the effects of the sowing time and cold-wet stratification on the germination ratio of pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) seeds was determined. For this purpose, species seeds were sowed at eight different times for one monthly intervals (between 1st February - 15th may 2008) without pretreatment and also on 15 may 2008 by taking the treatment of cold-wet stratification with six different durations (15 daily intervals) varying between 15 and 90 days in cold weather store (+4°C). In this context, it was found that the sowing time and cold-wet stratifica-tion were significantly (p<0.001) effective on the germination ratios. As a result, we could advise for pomegranate that the proper duration of cold-wet stratification was a period of 45-90 days and the proper sowing times were in the month of February or at the beginning of the March without applying any pretreatment.
