Turizm yönüyle gelişmekte olan Afyonkarahisar ilinde turist algısı üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, Afyonkarahisar iline gelen turistlerin, ilin turizmi hakkındaki görüşleri ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, ilin turist profilini ortaya çıkararak ve turistlerin düşüncelerini belirleyerek, ilin turizm gelişimine katkıda bulunmak ve ilde yapılacak turizm planlamalarına yardımcı olmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, Afyonkarahisar iline gelen turistlerin, ekonomik, sosyal ve demografik profillerini, ilin turizmi konusundaki düşüncelerini, ziyaret ettikleri mekânlarını, ilin turizminin daha iyi gelişmesi konusundaki görüşlerini belirlemeye yönelik olarak 352 turiste anket uygulaması yapılmıştır. Yapılan ankete göre, turistlerin Afyonkarahisar’a geldikleri için genelde memnun oldukları, bunun yanında ilin turizminin gelişmesi için; termal turizmin yanında yeşil alanların oluşturulması, nitelikli tesislerin artırılması ve tanıtıma önem verilmesi gerektiği sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır.

In this study, the perceptions of tourists towards tourism have been evaluated in the province of Afyonkarahisar. The study aimed at contributing to the city’s tourism development and tourism planning by identifying profiles and thoughts of the tourists. A survey was conducted over 352 tourists who visited Afyonkarahisar to investigate economic, social, and demographic profiles of the tourists along with the areas they usually visit in the city. Identifying the opinions of the tourists about the tourism and tourism development in the city was also targeted in the survey. The survey results indicate that the tourists are generally happy to visit Afyonkarahisar. As concluded in the study, more green areas should be created, high-quality tourism facilities should be increased in number, and more importance should be given to the promotion of tourism in order to develop tourism in the city.
