Delphi yöntemi ile profesyonel turist rehberliği mesleğine ilişkin sorunların tespit edilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma ile Türkiye'de faaliyet gösteren profesyonel turist rehberlerinin meslek sorunlarını tespit etmek ve bu sorunlara ilişkin çözüm önerileri sunmak amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Delphi yöntemi ile profesyonel turist rehberinden elde edilen birincil verilerin değerlendirilmesi sonucunda; başta profesyonel turist rehberliği mesleğinin doğasından kaynaklı sorunlar olmak üzere, seyahat acentaları, konaklama işletmeleri, ulaştırma işletmeleri, müze ve ören yerleri, turistler, meslek örgütleri, meslektaşlar ile yaşanan sorunlar ile meslek ile ilgili diğer sorunlarından oluşan dokuz farklı kategoride toplam 43 meslek sorununun olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Tespit edilen bu sorunlara ilişkin profesyonel turist rehberleri ile yüz yüze görüşülerek çözüm önerileri de geliştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ortaya çıkan akademik ve uygulamaya dönük öneriler ile gelecekte yapılması muhtemel araştırmalara yönelik de önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

This study aims to determine the vocational problems of professional tourist guides acting in Turkey and propose solutions to overcome these problems. In addition, it is aimed to make contribution to the field both with its unique methodical approach and knowledge production. The primary data were obtained from the professional tourist guides via Delphi method. It was determined that there were 43 vocational problems in nine different categories (nature of the profession, problems with travel agencies, accommodation businesses, transportation enterprises, museums and historical sites, tourists, professional organizations, colleagues and others). Then, solutions to these problems were discussed with professional tourist guides. As a result of the research, academic and practical suggestions were made, and implications for further research were given at the end.
