Osmanlı Eğitim Sisteminde Batılılaşma

Abstract

Eğitim, bireyin davranışlarında kendi yaşantıları yolu ile istendik davranış değişikliği meydana getirme sürecidir. Eğitim sistemini oluşturan temel ilkeler düşünüldüğünde ve sistemin işleyiş düzenine bakıldığında eğitim sistemin işleyişi hakkında genel bir değerlendirme yapmak mümkündür. Eğitim programları ve hedef alınan davranış değişikliği eğer fonksiyonlarını kaybetmişse yada eksik kalmakta ise elbette programın yada eğitim sisteminin yeniden yapılandırılması gerekir. Bu çalışmamızda işleyen Osmanlı Eğitim sisteminin Tanzimat öncesi, Tanzimat, I. Meşrutiyet ve Mutlakiyet, II. Meşrutiyet dönemlerinde Eğitim alanında yapılan Batılılaşma, Osmanlı eğitim sistemini nasıl etkilemiştir sorusuna cevap aranmıştır.

Education is a process in which a desired change in the behaviour of an individual is done through his or her own experiences. Taken into consideration the basic principals of education, it is possible to comment on the general process of the education system. If education programs and the change in the targetted behaviour became mal-funtioned and or lacked, it would, certainly, be necessary to reform the programs and the education system. In this study the westernization in the periods of Otoman Empire Education System such as Turkish Reorganization, I Constitutional Government and II Constitutional Government and how the Otoman empire education system was affected due to westernization were tried to answer.
