Turizm rehberliği öğrencilerinin mesleki tutumlarının kariyer yapma istekleri üzerine etkisi: Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı turizm rehberliği bölümü öğrencilerinin mesleki tutumlarının kariyer yapma istekleri üzerine etkisinin belirlenmesidir. Veri toplama yöntemi olarak iki ölçekten (mesleki tutum ve kariyer yapma isteği) yararlanılan bu çalışmanın evrenini 2017- 2018 eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Turizm Fakültesinde öğrenim gören turizm rehberliği öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma tamsayım yöntemiyle yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü sınıftan toplam 231 öğrenci katılmıştır. Araştırmadan çıkan sonuçlara göre, turizm rehberliği öğrencilerinin mesleki tutumlarının orta düzeyin biraz üzerinde olduğu ve kariyer yapma isteklerinin de yine orta düzeyin biraz üzerinde olduğu belirlenmiştir. Turizm rehberliği öğrencilerinin mesleki tutum ile kariyer yapma istekleri arasında anlamlı, pozitif ve kuvvetli bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Ayrıca mesleki tutumun turizm rehberliği öğrencilerinin kariyer yapma istekleri üzerinde kuvvetli bir etkisi olduğu saptanmıştır.The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the job attitudes of the tourism guidance department students on their career aspirations. The population of this study, which uses two scales (job attitude and desire to pursue a career) as a method of data collection, consists of tourism guidance students studying at Afyon Kocatepe University Tourism Faculty in the spring term of 2017-2018 academic year. The research was performed by the integer method. A total of 231 students from the first, second and third class participated in the study. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the job attitudes of the tourism guidance students were slightly higher than the intermediate level and the career aspirations were slightly higher than the intermediate level. A significant, positive and strong relationship was found between the job attitude of the tourism guidance students and their willingness to make a career. In addition, it was found that job attitude had a strong effect on the willingness of tourism guidance students to make career.
