Ahmed Adnan Saygun Üzerine Bir İnceleme Çalışması

Abstract

Ülkemizde Cumhuriyetin kurulması ile birlikte her alanda yeniden yapılanma süreci yaşanmıştır. Bu yapılanma süreci içinde Büyük Önder Atatürk’ün önemle üzerinde durduğu konulardan biri, ülkemizin modern dünyanın bir parçası olması doğrultusunda eğitim, sanat ve buna bağlı olarak müzik olmuştur.

Ahmed Adnan Saygun, bir besteci, bir araştırmacı ve bir müzik eğitimcisi olarak, Türk Müzik Tarihinde saygın ve önemli bir yere sahiptir.

Bu çalışmada besteciliğinin yanı sıra bir araştırmacı ve bir eğitmen olarak Ahmed Adnan Saygun’un sanatçı kişiliği, yapıtları ele alınmış, ülkemizde müzik eğitiminin gelişimine ilişkin görüşleri incelenmiştir. Ahmed Adnan Saygun, türlerinin Türkiye’deki ilk örnekleri olan “Özsoy” operası, “Bir Orman Masalı” balesi ve “Yunus Emre” oratoryosunu bestelemiştir.

With the foundation of Turkish Republic, an era of modernization had begun for Turkey. Atatürk laid great emphasis on Turkey as a country, which is a part of the modern world. Therefore, education and the arts became an important part of his priorities. Atatürk’s aim was to achieve an international outlook in music, which is at the same time national. This was also one of Ahmed Adnan Saygun’s main principles.

Ahmed Adnan Saygun is an important figure in Turkish musical history as a composer, a researcher and an instructor. This dissertation study is mainly concerned with Ahmed Adnan Saygun’s personality as an artist besides his personality as a composer, researcher and an instructor and also his works. The development of musical education in Turkey from Ahmed Adnan Saygun’s point of view is also studied in this dissertation study.

Ahmed Adnan Saygun wrote the Opera “Özsoy”, the Ballet “Bir Orman Masalı – A Forest Tale” and the Oratorio “Yunus Emre ” creating the first examples of these genres in Turkey.
