Eleştirel dinlemede “Yeni”

Abstract

Dinleme eyleminin algısal bir boyutu olan eleştirel dinleme (critical listening), farklı alanlarda karşımıza çıkan çeşitli işitsel becerileri barındırır. Kavram üzerinde uzlaşılmış bir tanımının bulunmamasıyla birlikte, literatürde dikkatin ses üzerine odaklandığı, sesleri birbirinden ayırt etme, değerlendirme ve anlamlandırma gibi süreçler içeren dinleme olarak ifade edilir. Müzik alanında çoğunlukla ses mühendisliği bağlamında ele alınan olgu aslında herkes tarafından değişken seviyelerde geliştirilip, deneyimlenebilir. Bu çalışma eleştirel dinlemeyi dinleme biçimleri, iletişim, eğitim ve gündelik yaşam bağlamlarında ele alarak günümüzdeki gelişmeleri sunmayı ve gelecekteki olası çalışmalara fikir vermeyi amaçlayarak, eleştirel dinlemede ‘yeni’ olanı sunmaya çalışır. Ayrıca Türkçe’de dil eğitimi ve edebiyat çalışmaları dışında karşımıza çıkmayan bu terim, müzik literatüründe daha yaygın kullanılır hale gelebilir.

Critical listening, which is a perceptual dimension of the act of listening, includes various auditory skills that we encounter in different fields. Although there is no agreed definition of the concept, it is expressed in the literature as listening, in which attention is focused on sound and includes processes such as distinguishing sounds from each other, evaluating and making sense of them. The phenomenon, which is mostly handled in the context of sound engineering in the field of music, can actually be developed and experienced by everyone in various levels of perception. This study tries to present what is 'new' in critical listening, by considering critical listening in the context of modes of listening, communication, education and everyday life, aiming to present the current developments and give ideas for future studies. In addition, this term, which is not encountered in Turkish language except for language education and literature studies, may become more widely used in music literature.
