Lutiye Ender Göktepe’nin ud yapımına ilişkin bir inceleme

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, lutiye Ender Göktepe’nin ud yapım çalışmaları detaylı bir şekilde incelenmiştir. Ud, tarih boyunca farklı birçok kültürü yansıtan bir figür olmakla birlikte kendine özgü tınısı ile dikkat çekmiş ve yapımı konusunda gelişimine ihtiyaç duyulan bir çalgı olmuştur. Buna istinaden, her asır gelişen ud yapım sanatı ve geleneği, meşk sistemine benzer bir şekilde bilgi ve deneyimlerini paylaşan usta lutiyeler, beraberinde de o yolda ilerlemek isteyenler ile bugüne taşınabilmiştir. Ender Göktepe ise bu alanda hem geleneği koruyan hem de yüksek kaliteli üretimleriyle modern yaklaşımlarını sergileyen bir lutiye olarak tanınmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, Ender Göktepe’nin ud yapım aşamaları, tercih ettiği malzemeler, ud yapımında kullandığı önemli teknikler ve ses kalitesi için dikkate aldığı hassasiyetler analiz edilmektedir. Ender Göktepe ile yüz yüze yapılan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme sonrasında yapımı kendisine ait olan udları kullanan icracılar ile mail yoluyla iletişime geçilmiştir. Ender Göktepe ile ud yapım süreci ve önerileri konusunda veri elde edilirken, icracıların Ender Göktepe udları hakkındaki görüşleri ayrıca tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında, Ender Göktepe’nin lutiye topluluğu içerisinde yeri ve katkıları açısından özel bir konumda olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Babası Sabri Göktepe’nin ud yapımı konusundaki mirasını ve yöntemlerini yaşatan Ender Bey, günümüzde tüm üretimini tek başına yenilikçi yönüyle sürdürerek bu ekolde bir ardıl olmaması noktasında endişe yaratmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, Göktepe ekolünün gelecek nesillere olumlu bir perspektif olması adına, Ender Göktepe meslek hayatında aktifken, ud yapımına getirdiği katkılara ve detaylara gösterdiği özenin ud üzerindeki etkilerine açıklık getirilmiştir.

This study analyses the oud making works of Luthier Ender Göktepe in detail. The oud has been a figure that reflects many different cultures throughout history, and in addition to this, it has attracted attention with its unique timbre and has been an instrument that needs development in its construction. Accordingly, the art and tradition of oud making, which has been developing every century, has come to this day with a master luthier who shares his knowledge and experience in a manner similar to the meshk system, together with those who want to progress in that field. Ender Göktepe is recognized as a luthier who both preserves the tradition and presents modern approaches with its high quality productions. This research analyses Ender Göktepe's stages of oud making, the materials he prefers, the important techniques he uses in oud making and his considerations for sound quality. A face-to-face semi-structured interview was conducted with Ender Göktepe, and then the performers who use the ouds made by him were contacted via e-mail. Data on the oud making process and suggestions were obtained from Ender Göktepe and the opinions of performers on Ender Göktepe’s ouds were also identified.According to the research, it is understood that Ender Göktepe has a special position in the community of luthiers in terms of his place and contributions. Carrying on his father Sabri Göktepe's legacy and methods of oud making, Ender continues his production today with his innovative approach alone, and the lack of a successor in this field is a cause for concern. This study reveals the effects of Ender Göktepe's contributions to oud making and his attention to detail on the oud while he is active in his professional life in order to provide a positive perspective of the Göktepe école for future generations.
