İlköğretim 4. ve 5. Sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji Dersi, “Canlılar Dünyasını Gezelim Tanıyalım” Ünitesinde Proje Tabanlı Öğrenmenin Akademik Başarı ve Kalıcılığa Etkisi

Abstract

Çalışmada ilköğretim 4. ve 5. sınıf Fen ve Teknoloji dersi “Canlılar Dünyasını Gezelim, Tanıyalım” ünitesinde proje tabanlı öğrenmenin akademik başarı ve kalıcılığa etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme okullarda yaygın olarak kullanılan geleneksel öğrenme ile proje tabanlı öğrenmenin karşılaştırılması yolu ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. 4. ve 5. sınıflardan deney ve kontrol grupları oluşturulmuş, deney grupları proje tabanlı öğrenme ile kontrol grupları geleneksel öğrenme ile konuları işlemiştir. Çalışma öncesi deney ve kontrol gruplarına, ünite konularını kapsayan öntest uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonunda sontest ve bir ay sonra kalıcılık testi uygulanmıştır. Yapılan öntest, sontest ve kalıcılık testleri sonucunda deney gruplarının kontrol gruplarına göre daha başarılı olduğu ve buna bağlı olarak proje tanlı öğrenmenin akademik başarı ve kalıcılıkta etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In the study, at primary school 4 and 5 classes, in the unit of “Effect Wonder and Recognize World of Living Beings”, Science and Technology subject, the influence of project based learning to academic achievement and retention level was examined. This research was applied by comparing traditional learning, used in schools commonly, with project based learning. Experiment group and control group were formed by students in class 4 and 5; in experiment group, subjects were applied by project based learning and in control group, subjects were applied by traditional learning. Before the research, pretests covering unit subjects, were held to experiment and control groups. At the rest of the research, a post-test was held and a permanence test was held a month later. As a result of pretest, post-test and permanence test, it was determined that experiment groups were more successful than control groups and relating to this, it was realized that project based learning was effective in academic success and retention level.
