İlköğretim II. Kademe Sosyal Bilgiler Derslerinde Coğrafya Konularının Öğretimi: Problemler- Öneriler

Dr. Özer YILMAZ Bu araştırmanın temel amacı ilköğretim II. kademe Sosyal Bilgiler derslerinde coğrafya konularının öğretiminde karşılaşılan problemleri Afyonkarahisar ili İlköğretim okulları öğretmenlerinin görüşleri doğrultusunda tespit ederek, bu problemleri ortadan kaldırmak için neler yapılabileceğini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma evrenini oluşturan Afyonkarahisar ili sınırları içinde yer alan 66 ilköğretim okulunda 2005- 2006 eğitim öğretim yılında 6 ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler derslerine giren 74 sosyal bilgiler öğretmenine 60 sorudan oluşan bir anket uygulanmıştır. Anket üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölüm öğretmenlerin kişisel bilgilerini, ikinci bölüm program, süre, uygulama, araç gereç ve yöntem öğelerine ilişkin sorunları belirlemeye yönelik soruları içermektedir. Üçüncü bölüm ise okulların araç gereç konusunda mevcut durumunu tespit etmek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Anket sonuçları bilgisayarda SPSS istatistik programı yardımıyla frekans, yüzde, t ve f testi teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Anlamlılık testlerinde a: 0.05 düzeyi esas alınmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda sosyal bilgiler dersleri coğrafya konularının öğretiminde program, süre, yöntem ve araç gereç açısından bazı sorunlar ortaya konmuş ve çözüm önerileri getirilmeye çalışılmıştır.

The aim of the study is to investigate the problems encountered in teaching geography subjects in social science curriculum in second level of primary education and provide recommendations. The sample of the study was selected among the teachers teaching in Afyonkarahisar. The sample consists of 74 social science teachers teaching in 66 primary schools in Afyonkarahisar during academic year of 2005- 2006 questionnaire was administered to collect data. The questionnaire consisted of three sections thirst section was about personal information of teachers. Second was about programmed, time, application, tools and methods. Third section was about the adequacy of school in terms of equipped. SPSS was used to analyze the data. The fallowing statistical analyze was done: frequency, percentage, “t” and “f” tests. Null hypothesis a: 0,05 was accepted as the level for significance. At the and of the study, same problems occurred in teaching geography subjects were determined and same recommend dations were made.
