Eğitim Fakültesi Müzik Eğitimi Anabilim Dali Öğrencilerinin Mesleki Kariyer Tercihlerinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Müzik öğretmenlerinin istihdam koşulları, yaşamdan bireysel beklentiler, ailelerin çocuklarından beklentileri ve sayılabilecek başka farklı etkenlerden dolayı müzik öğretmenliği öğrencilerinin, lisans eğitiminin başlangıcında hedefledikleri mesleki kariyer, mezun olma aşamasında değişkenlik gösterebilmektedir. Bu durumun irdelenmesine dönük olarak bu çalışmada, Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Müzik Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı (ABD) lisans 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin mesleki kariyer tercihleri incelenmektedir. Aynı zamanda öğrencilerin hedeflerinin değişiklik gösterip göstermediği, hedeflerine yönelik çalgı eğitimi süreçlerinde çalışma yapma durumları ve mesleki istihdam koşulları gibi faktörler betimsel olarak irdelenmektedir. Çalışmada, öğrencilerin eğitim süreçleri sonunda kariyer hedeflerinde değişikliklerin olduğu, müzik öğretmenliği programının doğrudan hedefleri dışında da hedefler belirledikleri ve aynı zamanda kariyerlerini belirlemelerinde çalgı öğretmenlerinin de etkisi olduğu görülmüştür.

Due to the working conditions of music teachers, personal expectations from life, anticipation of children’s families and some other factors the professional career that students of music teaching department aim at the beginning of their undergraduate education can change at the graduation stage. In this study, the career preferences of 4th grade students of Uludağ University Faculty of Music Education Department are examined. At the same time, factors such as working possibilities in the instrument training process for their goals and conditions of the professional employment, regardless of whether the goals of the students change or not, are respectively described. In the study, it was observed that the students changed their career goals at the end of the training process. According to students, in addition to other factors mentioned above, instrument teachers also had an impact on the determination of their career plans and setting different targets apart from direct objectives of the music education program.
