Bilim ve sanat merkezleri müzik alanı öğrencilerin müzik kavramına yönelik algılarının belirlenmesi: Bir metafor analizi çalışması

Abstract

Bilim ve Sanat Merkezleri (BİLSEM)özel yetenekleri geliştirme programı (ÖYG) müzik alanı, üstün yetenekli olarak kabul edilen ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise çağındaki özel yetenekli öğrencilerin bilişsel, duyuşsal ve devinişsel özelliklerini müzikal anlamda geliştiren ve onlara sanat eğitimi sağlayan bir kurumsal bir yapılanmadır. Müzik alanından tanılama yoluyla özel yetenek sınavına da tâbi tutulan ilkokul ve ortaokul öğrencilerinden başarılı olanlar bu eğitimden yararlanabilmektedir. BİLSEM’lerde, müzik alanında öğrencilere teorik derslerin yanı sıra ilgi, istek ve yetenekleri doğrultusunda piyano, keman, gitar vb. çalgılara yönelik çeşitli etkinlikler uygulanmaktadır. Bu araştırmada, BİLSEM müzik alanı öğrencilerinin müzik kavramına yönelik bilişsel yapılarını belirlemek amacıyla, eğitim alanında sıkça başvurulan alternatif ölçme yöntemlerinden metafor tekniği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Mersin Yenişehir Belediyesi Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi, Tarsus Hadiye Kuradacı Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi, Silifke Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi, Konya Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi, Adana Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi’nde öğrenim gören 100 ortaokul öğrencisinden toplanmıştır. Çalışmada katılımcılara müzik kavramına ilişkin ürettikleri metaforları yazmaları için bir form verilmiştir. Formda“Müzik .......gibidir. Çünkü .......” ifadelerini tamamlamaları istenmiştir. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemi ile kategorilere ayrılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma, durum tespitine yönelik betimsel bir çalışma olup nitel bir araştırmadır.

Science and art centers (in Turkey, they are called as BİLSEM)special talent improvement program (in Turkish: ÖYG) in music field; which is an institution that develops the cognitive, affective and dynamic characteristics of the talented students in the elementary school, middle school and high school age.Those who are successful in elementary and middle school students who are subject to special talent examination in the field of music through the diagnosis can benefit from this training in science and art centers.In the field of music, students can learn piano, violin, guitar etc. besides theoretical lessons. Activities are carried out in accordance with their interests, wishes and abilities. Theaim of this research is tod etermine the cognitive structures of the music fields’students of science and art centers and Metaphor technique which is one of the alternative measurement methods frequently used in the field of education was applied. There search datas were collected from the middle school students of Mersin Yenişehir Belediyesi Science and Art Centre, Tarsus Hadiye Kuradacı Science and Art Centre, Silifke Science and Art Centre, Konya Science and Art Centre and Adana Science and Art Centre from the academic year of 2018-2019. In the study, participants were given a form to write the metaphors they produced about the concept of music. In this form participants are asked to complete the statements like “Music is like ....... Because ....... ”The data collected was analyzed by using the content analysis method.The research is a descriptive study and a qualitative research.
