Eğitim sosyolojisi teorilerinde ailenin izleri

Abstract

Bu çalışma, eğitim ve aile kurumları arasındaki etkileşimi sosyolojik teoriler çerçevesinde incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada, aile kurumunun farklı eğitimsel kuramlar temelinde nasıl ele alındığı tartışılmıştır. Aile ve eğitim, toplumsal yapıyı oluşturan temel toplumsal kurumlardır ve bu kurumlar toplumsal yapıda meydana gelen değişikliklerden doğrudan etkilenmektedir. Bu nedenle toplumsal yapının oluşumunda aile ve eğitim kurumunun varlığı önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Çalışma, nitel araştırma yaklaşımı çerçevesinde kurgulanmış kuramsal bir incelemedir. Çalışmada, eğitim sosyolojisi literatüründe aile ve eğitim kurumları arasındaki ilişkiyi ele alan işlevselci ve çatışmacı paradigmalar, karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edilmiştir. İncelenen kuramsal metinler, doküman analizi yöntemiyle toplumsallaşma, kültürel sermaye ve eşitsizliklerin yeniden üretimi gibi temalar etrafında çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak işlevselci paradigma eğitim ve aile kurumlarını toplumun sürekliliğini sağlayan yapılar olarak değerlendirirken, çatışmacı paradigma bu kurumların toplumsal dönüşümlerin yeniden üretiminde oynadıkları role vurgu yapmaktadır. Çalışmada ayrıca eğitim kurumunun, aile ile birlikte toplumsal değerlerin ve rollerin içselleştirilmesine yönelik çeşitli işlevleri sağlamakla birlikte toplumun yeniden üretimi noktasında da önemli bir rol üstlendiği dikkat çekmektedir. Bu durum, eğitim politikalarının oluşturulurken farklı sosyo-ekonomik yapıdan gelen ailelerin dikkate alınması gerekliliğini ve bu farklılıkların azaltılmasına yönelik hareket edilmesini zorunlu kılmaktadır.

This research focuses on how education and family interact as social institutions from a sociological standpoint. In this context, it discusses how the family institution is addressed across different educational theories. Family and education are fundamental social institutions that constitute the social structure, and they are directly influenced by changes within this structure. Therefore, the presence of family and education institutions plays a significant role in the formation of social life. The study is grounded in a qualitative theoretical framework and provides a comparative examination of functionalist and conflict approaches to education and family. The theoretical texts examined are analyzed through document analysis, focusing on themes such as socialization, cultural capital, and the reproduction of inequalities. The study demonstrates that functionalist theory frames education and family as mechanisms of social stability, whereas conflict theory foregrounds their role in the reproduction of inequality and social change.The study also highlights that education, together with the family, plays a significant role in the reproduction of society by facilitating the internalization of social values and roles. This situation necessitates that educational policies take into account families from different socio-economic backgrounds and implement measures aimed at reducing these disparities.
